Sharon Regional welcomes physician enterprise development director

Sharon Regional Health System is pleased to announce the appointment of Tom Roberts as Director, Physician Enterprise Development. Roberts’ primary responsibilities will include building, improving, and solidifying relationships with physicians, as well as recruitment and onboarding of new physicians.

He will also serve as the primary Sharon Regional liaison to physicians to resolve issues, answer questions, and address any concerns physicians may have in utilizing the services of the Health System. Roberts will also work with physicians in outlying areas to introduce them to the many specialized services at the Health System to explain the benefits of using Sharon Regional for their patients’ inpatient and outpatient care.

Roberts brings an impressive background in business leadership and communication skills to his new role at Sharon Regional. He earned a Master of Business Administration degree from the Fox School of Business at Temple University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial and Labor Relations from the Pennsylvania State University.

His prior experience includes national sales director, business development manager, and vice-president of retail sales for MAAX, Inc.; marketing director and information technology director for KSD Industries; and most recently in the family business as general manager of Cottage Gardens, Inc.

Roberts is very active in professional and volunteer organizations and is the immediate past vice president of the board of directors of the Prince of Peace Center in Farrell. He is also active in the Shenango Valley Chorale, the Area Community Theater of Sharpsville, and serves in a leadership role with several Penn State University alumni organizations. He resides in Hermitage with his wife, Ryen.
